Attenborough Green Rangers – Pond Dipping for Teenagers

To kick off this year’s 30 Days Wild campaign, join the Green Rangers for some serious pond dipping and discover our aquatic wildlife, and then have a closer look using microscopes back in the study lab! Suitable for young people aged 13 yrs and over. Parental consent required if unaccompanied. 10.15am – 12.15pm. £7 per person. Idle Valley Wild Woodlands Holiday Club

Green Man Workshop

Thursday 1st June

Event Type: Skylarks | Rural Crafts & Skills | Rushcliffe

Start the month as you mean to go on with this Green Man outdoor workshop at Skylarks Nature Reserve. Learn about ‘green man’ imagery in history, archaeology and folklore. Have a go at carving your own using traditional techniques and local wood. Workshop is for adults aged 18+ and requires you to have a good degree of manual dexterity as you will be using sharp tools. 1 – 3 pm, free of charge.
