Hurdle-making

Saturday 8th June

Event Type: Osmanthorpe | Rural Crafts & Skills

Tutor Alistair Hayhurst will guide you through the process of making a hazel hurdle panel. Each person will learn how to split hazel and weave a traditional hurdle over two days. A good level of fitness will be required for this course. £20 per person. Booking required. Meet at 9.30am at Osmanthorpe Orchard, Southwell Rd, near Kirklington. Bring a packed lunch and a drink. This course is subsidised by a grant from Awards for All. Concludes Sunday 9 June.

Frame Basket-making
