Butterfly Monitoring Survey Volunteers
Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust is hoping to set up a series of Butterfly monitoring transects on some of our nature reserves, so that we can see how our work is affecting the populations of these invertebrates.
Surveys will be running at several sites over the summer, and ideally need to be completed once a week for 26 weeks between April and September.
If you are interested in butterfly identification, and feel able to commit approximately two hours each week between these dates to complete the survey, please get in touch.
This role would suit volunteers who are able to identify butterflies confidently in natural situations and are reasonably able-bodied.
Training will be offered to familiarise volunteers with the survey methods.
If you are interested in helping out with these surveys, please contact Julie Reed to register on 0115 958 8242 or email (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address), or for more information on training and survey locations email Tom Shields on (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
