Fundraising plant sale set to help wildlife

Local volunteers who have already raised thousands of pounds for wildlife projects across the county will be holding their annual plant sale and Spring Fair in Ruddington this Saturday morning (June 4th 2016).

The event, held at St Peter’s Rooms between 9.30am and 12 noon has been organised by Members of Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust living in the Rushcliffe area and gives people a great opportunity to stock up on a wide range of plants to fill their gardens with colour.

In addition to plant sales there will be stalls selling home-made cakes, a vinyl record and CD stall and a tombola. Teas, coffees and cakes will also be on sale in the tea room.

Speaking about the event Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust Chief Executive Rob Fitzsimons said:

“The Spring Fair is always a great event and over the years it has helped raised many thousands of pounds for our wildlife conservation work across the county. The volunteers who organise the sale, grow the plants, bake the cakes and donate other items for sale all work extremely hard but the funds raised make it all worth while. We hope as many people as possible pop along on Saturday morning to support them.”

The event take place on Saturday 4 June from 9.30am to 12pm at St Peter’s Rooms, Ruddington, NG11 6HA.
