Olympic Storyteller’s cycle for Cow Appeal

This is Jonathan Cross. He is one of 100 official Olympic Storytellers for the 2012 Games. He is also a man who likes to cycle. This April, Jonathan is kindly taking up the challenge of a 250 mile cycle ride, from Bridgford (NG2) to Bovey (Devon) - all in aid of our Cow Appeal!

About Jonathan and his Olympic-sized challenge...

Jonathan is a BT Official Olympics Storyteller. His cycle ride marks his personal sporting contribution to the 2012 Olympic year. As a Storyteller, he will be blogging about his experiences before, during and after the cycle ride, on the Olympic Storyteller website. He has called this moo-mentous challenge the  'Bridgford-Bovey'.

In his own words:

"The pace might not be quite as fast as that to be achieved by Chris Hoy, Bradley Wiggins and Mark Cavendish this summer, but I’m hoping there will still be plenty of interesting kerbside stories to report."

"I will be cycling from Nottinghamshire to Devon, from the lands of Robin Hood to the domain of the Hound of the Baskervilles, over the course of a planned four days".

We’re hoping that you might be in the moo-d to click and sponsor him.  Any amount, however small, will go straight to our Cow Appeal, helping to inch us closer to the £25,000 we need to be able to buy our own herd of cattle, which we will use to graze and help preserve wildflower meadow habitats in Nottinghamshire.
