Raffle Winners help raise funds for Sherwood Forest

Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust has today announced the winners of its Autumn Raffle which raised a total of £869 towards the charity’s work in Sherwood Forest.

The winners were; Mr S Cooper, A Britain, Mr Bassnett and D Stoker. Prizes included £300 cash, A year’s supply of Walter Harrison's bird food, a case of Castle Rock beer and a framed wildlife illustration.

Speaking about the raffle, Head of Communications & Marketing Erin McDaid said: “Each year we run the autumn raffle to raise funds for our conservation work and this year we decided that the money raised should go towards our Champions of Sherwood campaign. Sherwood Forest is the most important and iconic natural habitat we have in Nottinghamshire and we are determined to do more to protect and enhance it for both people and wildlife.”

A big 'thank you' to all who entered the raffle for helping to make a difference to the county's wildlife.

The Wildlife Trust is currently trying to raise £100,000 to support the care and protection of nature reserves in Sherwood Forest and to fund new conservation projects across the Forest area. Anyone wishing to support this work should visit www.championsofsherwood.com
