Weekend of Wildlife event planned as much loved nature reserve celebrates 50th Anniversary

In 1966 some amazing things happened:

England's football team won the World Cup, the Action Man figure was launched, Camberwick Green was 1st shown on TV and the Beatles released the albumn Revolver.

Something else amazing heppend that year - Sir David Attenborough, then plain Mr David Attenborough, opened Attenborough Nature Reserve to the public after a fight to save the site from being infilled.

50 years on, we're sure that all of these are still bringing people pleasure but we're not sure that any are having the positive impact on people's lives that Attenborough Nature Reserve has today with around half a million visits each year.

Join us this weekend (20th &21st August) as we celebrate 50 years of succes with our Weekend of Wildlife

There will be activities ranging from pond dipping to mini-beast hunts, family wild flower walks, moth trapping and microscope demos to arts and crafts plus information on other local wildlife conservation groups.

Please share - we hope to see you there

Full details of the programme of activities are available here
