Wild Family wildlife event at Mansfield’s Titchfield Park

Family wildlife event at Mansfield’s Titchfield Park will give children of all ages a chance to go a bit wild.

Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust, the county’s largest locally based environmental charity will be hosting a special family friendly wildlife event at Mansfield’s Titchfield Park on Saturday July 1st  between 10.30am and 3pm. This free event will showcase the park’s wildlife with activities including a mini beast safari whilst there will also be a chance to learn bush craft skills.

The Wildlife Trust will also be encouraging people to do more to help bees in their gardens as part of a UK –wide campaign in partnership with the Royal Horticulrtual Society.

Speaking about the event, Head of Communications Erin McDaid said: “Our lives are a bit better if they are a bit wild and we’re providing families with a chance to go a bit wild in Titchfield Park on July 1st. The park is regularly used by our local Wildlife Watch group for their monthly sessions and we wanted to host an event that was open to everyone to show them the wildlife on their doorstep and to give people a chance to learn more about Wildlife Watch and the work of the Wildlife Trust.”
