Wildlife in the Wetlands

Wildlife in the Wetlands

Welcome to the Wildlife in the Wetlands webpages.

Wildilife in the Wetlands is a new initiative showcasing wetland habitats across Nottinghamshire.  We're running some great events, providing information and suggesting how you can help protect wetland widlife.  We've listed some great events coming up for you to enjoy and have provided details of our fantastic wetland reserves for you to visit.

We'll be adding to this through the coming year with all kinds of activity sheets, events, volunteering dates, news and more. If you have any questions about wetlands or would like to share any pictures or stories then we'd love to hear from you. Contact us by email at support@nottswt.co.uk or call us on 0115 958 8242.

WHATS NEW?

is a new initiative from Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust and which aims to raise awareness of the benefits of fresh, clean water for wildlife.  Wetlands such as rivers and ponds attract a breathtaking range of wildlife, but work must be done to keep these wetland areas clean and in good condition.

will showcase the wonderful range of wetland habitats across Nottinghamshire, encouraging people to get out and experience wetland wildlife first-hand, and promote the vital need for clean water for wildlife.

Explore our interactive map for details of the top wetlands sites to visit, find somewhere near you where you can immerse yourself in wildlife, enjoy a walk, relax by the water or perhaps even try something more athletic! For those who want to get more involved then take a look at the volunteering and events dates in the factsheets section. We provide year round opporutnitites to get involved and a whole host of education and environmental events for you to enjoy.

Enjoy

Our best pictures and videos of local wetlands? Why not see our photo and video section. We love sharing so send in any copies you'd like others to see and we'll try to post them online for you.

Help Us!

We're putting together some great ideas for how we can all do our bit at home or at work to protect wetlands. Give them a go and feel good about your contribution.

We hope you enjoy what we come up with, and we always like to hear from you. Contact us on email at: support@nottswt.co.uk or call us on 0115 958 8242
