Woodland Workshops

Thanks to support from players of People's Postcode Lottery, Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust is again this year able to deliver a county-wide programme of Forest Schools inspired Woodland Workshops.

The Trust wil be delivering specially tailored programmes of workshops for schools and community groups and running family friendly sessions at weekends and in school holidays at its two flagship nature reserves.

Workshops will focus on teaching a range of craft and survival skills in safe, inspirational outdoor spaces. 

During 2016 and 2017 we have prodcued a coulpe of short videos highlighting how the support from the players of People's Postcode Lottery has helped us to delivery outdoor learning opportunitites for both school groups and families as well as youth sessions. Watch them here:

The Woodland Workshops organised by Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust form part of a programme of activity supported by £2.4million in funding in 2017 that The Wildlife Trusts have been fortunate to receive from players of People's Postcode lottery to support the work across England, Scotland and Wales.

Woodland Workshops Map

As part of our programme of Forest schools inspired activities supported by players of People's Postcode Lottery we will running sessions at Idle Valley Nature Reserve and Gamston Wood in North Nottinghamshire, Attenborough Nature Reserve and Skylarks Nature Reserve close to Nottingham.

In addtion to sessions for schools, we are planning a packed programme of sessions for children and families, mainly based at our Idle Valley and Attenborough sites where we have toilet and cafe facilities so families can enjoy a whole day exerience.
