Wildlife Watch Groups

Family Events

Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust’s Wildlife Watch family events and activities are a wonderful way for the family to enjoy the outdoors together. Family events include discovering the habitats on our nature reserves, arts and crafts sessions, wildlife exploring, and much more.
Our centres at the award winning Attenborough Nature Centre near Nottingham and the Idle Valley Rural Learning Centre near Retford are great places for the family to visit all year round and offer a number of facilities such as nature tables and natural play areas as well as a full events programme including Wild Tots, Wild Kids, children’s birthday parties and other clubs and activities.
Become a Family Watch member of the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust and you’ll find lots of ways to get involved and have fun being inspired by nature. You will receive a number of great publications and all the information you will need to get involved with local wildlife.

Wildlife Watch Groups

Give your youngsters the chance to really enjoy wildlife and join in with our Wildlife Watch groups which meet across the county.  The groups meet every month and cover a wide range of fun wildlife-related activities. Sessions are aimed at 8 – 15 year olds, but some groups take under 8’s if accompanied by an adult. Suggested donation £2. Come and join us!

Become a Wildlife Watch leader or helper

A typical Wildlife Watch leader or helper is someone who enjoys working with children, is enthusiastic and concerned about the environment and enjoys being out of doors. No expert wildlife knowledge is required to start, and volunteers receive support and guidance from our expert staff.
You may like to help an existing group – leaders work in teams, with helpers. This is a good way to find out more about how Wildlife Watch works, and what fun it can be. This can be a springboard for starting your own group in a different area. Alternatively, if there is no group in your area, you can start from scratch.
