Attenborough Nature Walk

Sunday 5th February

Event Type: Attenborough | Guided Walk

Find out what wildlife is around Attenborough Nature Reserve at this time of year by joining some of the wardens for a nature walk.  No need to book. Please come dressed for the weather and wear stout shoes or boots. No dogs please. Meet 10.30am at the Nature Centre.

Group Storytelling

Tuesday 7th February

Event Type: Idle Valley | Family Event | Training Course

You are welcome to take part in the last session in a series of five workshops which are exploring all aspects of storytelling. 9.30am - 11.30am at our Idle Valley Reserve. Free of charge, but booking essential; babies welcome.

Willow Weaving

Saturday 11th February

Bring the whole family and learn how to baskets out of willow. 10.30am – 12 noon. Suitable for children age 5 and over. No charge, but booking essential.

Idle Valley Health Walk

Event Type: Idle Valley | Health Walk

A brisk hour-long walk around the beautiful Idle Valley Reserve. A great way to keep fit in the fresh air. Meet at 10.30am at the Learning Centre. No dogs please. Participation is free and there is no need to book. Refreshments available.

Winter Trees ID Course

Saturday 11th February

Event Type: Attenborough | Training Course

Ever wanted to be able to identify the trees around you? Join us on an introductory course at Attenborough Nature Reserve where you’ll learn to recognise trees in winter. Find out how to use twigs and buds as clues to identify our native trees, before going out onto the reserve to test your knowledge. 10am – 2pm. £6 per person. Please book in advance.
