Discover Bats!

Thursday 25th August

Join Tony Morris and the Gedling Local Group for a bat walk. Meet 9pm at the bottom gate Gedling House Woods, Wood Lane, Gedling. Boots & torches advised. £3 adult, £1.50 child.

Idle Valley Holiday Club – Family Drop-in

Summer Insect Walk for Beginners

Saturday 27th August

Event Type: Attenborough | Guided Walk | Broxtowe

Join experts for a focused guided walk around the Reserve. You’ll be taught the skills you need to identify the butterflies, bees, dragonflies and other insects of Attenborough. 9 – 11am. £6 each or four walks for £20. Other dates: 28 May, 2 July, and 30 July.

Bat Walk

Tuesday 30th August

Event Type: Bat Watch | Guided Walk | Members-only

Join Notts Bat Group Chair Michael Walker for a short introductory talk about bats and current bat recording projects before heading out onto the reserve in search of bats. Time and place TBC.

Bugs and Bears Picnic

Wednesday 31st August

Bring along a picnic and your favourite bear for some wild activities in our beautiful meadow. Suitable for all the family. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Please note that some activities take place outside so come dressed for the weather! Drop in between 11am and 2pm.
