Summer Insect Walk for Beginners

Saturday 2nd July

Event Type: Attenborough | Guided Walk | Broxtowe

Join experts for a focused guided walk around the Reserve. You’ll be taught the skills you need to identify the butterflies, bees, dragonflies and other insects of Attenborough. 9 – 11am. £6 each or four walks for £20. Other dates: 28 May, 30 July and 27 August.

Wild Kids Attenborough

Join us as we explore Attenborough Nature Reserve to find out about our amazing wildlife. Suitable for children aged 4 and over. All children must be accompanied by an adult. 10.15am – 12.15pm, £5 per child. No need to book.

Attenborough Health Walk

Saturday 2nd July

Get active and make new friends whilst enjoying the beautiful scenery and wildlife of Attenborough Nature Reserve by joining us for a short healthy walk for up to an hour. Please come dressed for the weather and wear stout shoes or boots. No dogs please. Meet at the Nature Centre for a 10am start.

Introduction to Grass Identification

Saturday 2nd July

This day-long course, led by Graham Bowden, will cover the identification features of different grasses and their biology. The session will also include field work on the Reserve. £35, includes refreshments, lunch and ID Guide. 10am – 3pm.

Green Rangers

Saturday 2nd July

Event Type: Skylarks | Children's Activity | Conservation | Rushcliffe

Are you aged 13-18 years old, like being outdoors and keeping active? If so, then join our Green Rangers and help us look after Skylarks, Nottinghamshire’s ‘newest’ nature reserve!  Our varied programme includes tree coppicing, bird box making, pond dipping, bushcraft and lots more. Sessions are free but booking is essential as spaces are limited. 11am - 1pm.
