Wildlife Cross Stitch Exhibition & Sale

Wednesday 1st May

Event Type: Attenborough | Arts & Crafts

Mother and daughter Trust volunteers Shirley Hatcher and Sue Leach have stitched fifty designs to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust. All profits from sales made will be donated to the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust. Continues until Friday 31 May.

Outdoor story time at the Idle Valley Nature Reserve, listening to ‘The Gruffalo’ by Julia Donaldson and have fun in the woods. Suitable for pre-school children. Attend seven of these events during the year and claim a free storybook. 10.30am – 12 noon. Donations requested. Booking required.

Digiscoping for Beginners

Saturday 25th May

Event Type: Attenborough | Training Course

Digiscoping is a technique that combines a digital camera with a spotting scope in order to provide high quality telephoto images. Try your hand at getting brilliant wildlife photos using this technique during a practical session at Attenborough Nature Reserve. Three different installations will be demonstrated and provided on the day. 10.00am - 12 noon. The £10 course fee can be used against Opticron purchases of over £100 on the day to get you started with your own digiscoping kit. Please book in advance as spaces are limited.

Optics Demonstration Day with Opticron

Saturday 25th May

Your chance to try out a range of equipment, such as binoculars, under real field conditions, with expert advice on hand. 10.00am – 4.00pm at Attenborough Nature Centre.
