Barn-building

Monday 21st May

Event Type: Gamston Wood | Rural Crafts & Skills

Join Peter Lees (greenwood specialist), for a 6 day course in Gamston Wood and learn how to build a barn. 10am – 4pm each day. Early booking essential as places limited. £150 per person. Continues 22 & 23 May, 18 - 20 June.

Walking for Health

Tuesday 22nd May

Event Type: Attenborough | Health Walk

Get active whilst enjoying the wonderful scenery and wildlife of Attenborough Nature Reserve. Suitable for all levels. No dogs please. 10.30am – 12 noon. Meet at the Nature Centre.

Netherfield Lagoons

Thursday 24th May

Event Type: Guided Walk

Join members of the Gedling Local Group for a walk around this wildlife haven to be led by Pete Smith and starting at 5.15pm. Meet at the end of Victoria Road by Rossi’s Warehouse.

Wildlife Gardening Festival

Saturday 26th May

Event Type: Idle Valley | Family Event

A session at the Idle Valley Nature Reserve for everyone with an interest in improving your garden for wildlife. There will be workshops for adults and children, the opportunity to do some planting, plant sales, a great garden shed tool exchange, and a quiz. 10.30am – 3pm. Free entrance with a £5 donation for some activities.

Portland Park Health Walk

Saturday 26th May

Event Type: Health Walk

Get active and make some new friends by joining us for a short healthy walk, starting from Portland Park, Kirkby-in-Ashfield. The walk will last up to an hour and is suitable for all levels. No need to book. Please come dressed for the weather and wear stout shoes or boots. Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome. Meet at 10am at the Visitor Centre, Lindley’s Lane.
