Introduction to Bird Identification

The first in a series of four field walks around the picturesque Attenborough Nature Reserve with a number of local bird enthusiasts looking at our resident birds and spring visitors. 10am - 1pm. £20 per person (inclusive of all walks). Please book in advance.

Portland Park Health Walk
Saturday 24th March
Event Type: Health Walk
Get active and make some new friends by joining us for a short healthy walk starting from Portland Park, Kirkby-in-Ashfield. The walk will last up to an hour and is suitable for all levels. No need to book. Please come dressed for the weather and wear stout shoes or boots. Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome. Meet at 10am at the Visitor Centre, Lindley’s Lane.

Optics Demonstration Day with Opticron

Your chance to try out a range of equipment such as binoculars under real field conditions, with expert advice on hand. 10am – 4pm at Attenborough Nature Centre.

Attenborough Health Walk

Tiny Tots – Idle Valley
Wednesday 28th March
Event Type: Idle Valley | Children's Activity
Parent and toddler sessions exploring the outdoors at Idle Valley Nature Reserve. Suitable for 2 to 4 year olds. 10am – 11.30am. Suggestion donation £4 per child. Please book in advance as numbers are limited. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
