Easter Trail at Idle Valley

Friday 13th April

Event Type: Idle Valley | Family Event

Can you find the hidden eggs? This self-led trail is a chance for the whole family to enjoy exploring the Reserve at your own pace whilst hunting for the hidden Easter clues. From 10.30am. Suggested donation £3 per person.

Birdwatching Walk

Join Lound Bird Club for a walk around Idle Valley Nature Reserve to see which birds you can spot. 10.30am to 11.30am. Meet at the Rural Learning Centre. No charge.

Dawn at Bunny Wood

Event Type: Bunny Wood | Guided Walk

Watch the sun come up and listen to the dawn chorus with the South Notts Local Group on this guided walk led by Dennis Heffernan. Meet 6am in Bunny Wood car park, on the left of the A60 climbing up out of Bunny.

Join the Beeston Wildlife Group for an insight into Martin Butler’s travels down under, including crocodiles, spiders, kangaroos, whales and a host of tropical Australian birds. This Keith Corbett Memorial Talk will be preceded by a (brief) Annual General Meeting. £2 including refreshments. 7.30pm - 9.30pm. Trent Vale Infants School, Trent Road, Beeston Rylands.

Portland Park Health Walk

Monday 16th April

Event Type: Health Walk

Get active and make some new friends by joining us for a short healthy walk starting from Portland Park, Kirkby-in-Ashfield. The walk will last up to an hour and is suitable for all levels. No need to book. Please come dressed for the weather and wear stout shoes or boots. Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome. Meet at 10am at the Visitor Centre, Lindley’s Lane.
