Fungi with Diane Meares

Join our fungi expert for a fun and practical beginners’ guide to fungi – find out about what fungi are, why they are important, and how to identify them in the field. 10.00am - 4.00pm. £25 per person. Please book in advance as numbers are limited.

Apple Day

Join in an afternoon of activities for all the family celebrating apple trees and apple products at the Idle Valley Nature Reserve. 1pm – 2.30pm. £2 per person. Booking essential.

Rustic Ladder-back Chair Workshop

Saturday 23rd October

A two-day course with local craftsman Ray Lister. Using hazel and ash from the coppice management within Treswell Wood, you will learn, step by step, how to make this charming piece of furniture, and by the end of the course you will have completed your first chair. 10am – 3pm. £80 per person. Meet at the craftsmen sheds in Treswell Wood. Please bring packed lunch; tea and coffee provided. Booking essential. Continues on Sunday 24th October.
