Wild Tots Attenborough – Sensational Senses: Sound

Wednesday 6th June

Join us for an afternoon of outdoor activities as we explore Attenborough Nature Reserve. Sessions are full of activities for tots such as stories, wildlife art, games, searching for wildlife, trails and much more. All sessions are designed to get children outdoors and enjoying nature. This season we’re concentrating on using our senses in nature. Suitable for children aged 2-4 years, £7 per child. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Dress for the weather as activities are outside. 10.30-12pm. Meet in the Attenborough Nature Centre Badger Sett Classroom. Join us for a morning of outdoor activities as we explore Attenborough Nature Reserve. Sessions are packed full of activities for 4-8 year olds, including outdoor games, natural art, searching for wildlife, woodland workshops and much more. A special session as part of Attenborough’s Big Weekend. 10.15am to 12.15pm. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Please dress for the weather as activities are outside. £7 per child. Besthorpe Big Wild Weekend

Saturday 16th June

Event Type: Besthorpe | Children's Activity | Family Event | Newark

Join us at Besthorpe Nature Reserve and join in with activities for all the family. Saturday events include pond dipping and sweep netting for children; bird ringing sessions from 8am-12 noon; a self-guided trail; and strawberry teas in the Village Hall from 2pm. On Sunday, you can follow the self-guided trail and enjoy refreshments in the Village Hall. Open for most activities from 11am-4pm. A great chance to learn more about this lovely wetland on your doorstep. Signposted off Trent Lane Besthorpe, NG23 7HL.

Attenborough Big Weekend Illustration Workshop - Urban Jungle

Saturday 16th June

Join us at Attenborough Nature Centre for a morning of animal games and a drawing workshop to discover the wild side of cities around the world. Did you know that there are flying squirrels in the heart of New York City? Or that wild boar roam the streets of Berlin? From bats in air-conditioning vents, to snakes in the sewers, each city is a colourful mix of everyday sightings and one-off stories you wouldn’t believe. Come and find out more amazing facts, discover what lives in Nottingham and join in with quizzes and drawing activities. Then take away your own map of Nottinghamshire and add your own animal sightings. Ages 4-11. 10.30-11.30am, £3 per child.
