Lamb boxes

Our conservation grazing flocks spend a happy and valuable life helping to manage the Trust's nature reserves and habitats for wildlife, and provide a delight for visitors to experience.

As part of a healthy life cycle and in turn providing a small income for their investment, the Trust works with a local butcher to provide a superb service.

We aren't currently taking orders for lamb or beef. However if you would like to be informed by email in 2024, then please complete the form below.

An example of the product provided in 2023 included a mixture of different cuts of lamb vacuum packed into individual packs ready to freeze at home. Half a lamb takes up roughly the size of a small plastic shopping bag.

There was the choice to order a Herdwick (24-30kg) or a Hebridean (18-24kg) lamb.

Price for the lamb is £6 per kg. The total price you are expected to pay depends on the weight of the lamb after it has been slaughtered.

Our lamb is butchered by Westlands Farmshop near Retford, who also butchers our beef. Once ordered, we will be in touch and keep you updated as to when your lamb will be ready for collection. If you have any issues or questions, including future beef orders please email our sales team.
