£6,275 helps kick start Hut Appeal

We asked for your help and you did not disappoint!
We are pleased to announce that the Farndon Watch Group have won a massive £6,275 towards rebuilding their club hut after winning a competition run by Natwest - Natwest CommunityForce .
Last year, the hut was shockingly burnt to the ground by vandals! In response to this the children's group decided to create a YouTube video detailing their plight which was then featured on the Natwest Community Force website.
The appeal proved to be a hit with the voters as many let their mouse do the talking as the Farndon Watch Group were triumphant in their bid for help recieving the most votes in their area.
We would like to thank everyone that voted for the group; however, further donations are still required in order to get the club hut back up and running and back to its former glory! (See below for details on how you can help by making a donation)

The close-knit community of Farndon was shocked last year by an arson attack on the reserve which completely destroyed the Watch Hut and everything inside! It has been sorely missed, as the group now have no indoor space on the reserve, with meetings having to be cancelled in bad weather or rearranged to other venues. This has meant the group has also had to spend valuable funds on renting alternative accommodation.
The money won from the Natwest competition and your additional donations will all go towards a brand new vandal-proof cabin on the reserve, to replace the old hut. A bigger hut, with water and electricity, could be used not just by the Watch Group, but for other Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust activities such as volunteering sessions, educational workshops and local members meetings.
