Half Term Holiday Fun

Looking for something fun to do with the children over half term? Look no further!

Attenborough Nature Reserve is offering fun-filled activities at the ‘Autumn Antics’ holiday club. Suitable for children aged 4 and above, we are hosting two of these events on Tuesday 25 and Thursday 27 October from 10:15am – 12:15pm for £5 per child and a discount of £1 for more than one child per party. Please book in advance to avoid missing out on the fun by contacting the Nature Centre on 0115 972 1777.

And if that isn’t enough to distract your children from the TV, try bringing them and a digital camera to ‘Wild Snappers’ and capture some amazing sights from the Attenborough Nature Centre with the help of a keen amateur wildlife photographer. The session will be held on Friday 28 October at 10:15am – 12:15pm and is suitable for children aged 8 and over. Places are limited so book in advance with the Attenborough Nature Centre on 0115 972 1777 to avoid missing out!

To finish off an exciting week, the time for witches, broomsticks and all things spooky is on its way, and what better way to experience Halloween than exploring its mysteries at Idle Valley Nature Reserve. Children will be able to make their own broomstick, try their hand at lantern carving and follow the magical newt trail. Booking is essential so don’t miss out on a day of spooky fun on Sunday 30 October from 11am – 1pm; £8 per person. Contact the Rural Learning Centre on 01777 713 945.
