Love Attenborough, Love Business Growth

Thursday 26th January

Love Attenborough, Love Business Growth

Attenborough is a much loved Nature Reserve and Visitor Centre but as Sir David Attenborough stated, “I would urge everyone who loves Attenborough Nature Reserve today not to take it for granted. Please make sure it remains a haven for wildlife and people for the next fifty years by supporting the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust." Sir David Attenborough, 2nd April 2016.

Forward-thinking businesses are beginning to recognise that partnering with a highly-regarded charity can deliver long-term business success – and help support local treasures such as Attenborough Nature Reserve.

Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust is holding a “Love Attenborough, Love Business Growth” event at Attenborough Nature Centre, on Thursday 23rd February 2017, between 4pm and 6pm, inviting all local business to see the facilities available and share their experiences of the benefits of collaborating with charities, network and enjoy the relaxed working atmosphere of the centre and reserve.

The event will provide an opportunity to discover from some of Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trusts existing business sponsors the reasons why they became a Trust Partner and Wildlife Guardian, learn about how you can promote your business to the Trust’s 11,000 members and hear about the various benefits of sponsoring the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust at a level that suits their organisation.

Organisations will be able to visit the on-site conference space and meeting rooms available to businesses for booking, plus attendees will be able to participate in an exciting nature-based activity as a taster of a “Woodland Workshop” corporate away day which can be arranged on many of the Trusts nature reserves.

The event will also highlight the highly regarded and valued Education programme - inspiring the next generation of young scientists and environmental stewards and other important programmes which are critical to successful survival from ever increasing urban demands.

Local media personality and businesswoman Lucy Kite, who will be at the event to welcome businesses, said “I've spent lots of time at Attenborough Nature Reserve over the years, with family and in my work with ITV Central. With the stunning backdrops it's always a beautiful location across the seasons to film. For me personally the Nature Reserve is a sanctuary, a place to come and find peace and quiet and appreciate all that nature has to offer in our wonderful corner of the world.”

Speaking about the event, Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust Honorary Vice President John Holmes commented: “Attenborough Nature Reserve is a real gem and the vital conservation work that Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust has been doing there for over 50 years is fantastic.  With the essential support of local businesses, the Trust can do more to protect wildlife and provide opportunities for businesses to learn about and experience wildlife on their doorstep.  Find out how your company can help by attending our event on Feb 23rd.”

Light refreshments will be provided upon arrival.
