Policy Briefings

We are committed to standing up for wildlife.

Our county’s wildlife and habitats are regularly threatened by decisions that put their future in jeopardy. We play a vital role in ensuring that wildlife, and the people that care about it, have a voice. By influencing policy and working within the planning system we can help to ensure that future generations will be able to enjoy a wildlife rich Nottinghamshire.

Here is our stance on some of the current issues facing wildlife in Nottinghamshire:

Attenborough Flood Alleviation Scheme

Rufford Energy Recovery Facility Incinerator - Update December 2009

Sharphill Housing Development

Fishing and our Nature Reserves - Update September 2010

Public Forest Estate

Killing Wild Animals

Badgers and Bovine TB - Update July 2011

Planning Reform in England - September 2011
