Get involved with the 2.6 challenge!

On Sunday 26th April we should have seen the 40th annual London Marathon take place, which raises a huge amount of funds for charities across the UK.

In its stead this challenge was created which aims to help charities that have been affected by Covid-19 in raising funds.

Here at Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust, we like so many charities, have been impacted with cancellations to fundraising events and activities. We would love to see as many Home Heroes as possible supporting us by signing up to the 2.6 challenge!

So, get involved in challenges that are 26 or 2.6 themed to support our work.

We’ve created a simple list of wildlife-themed challenges you can do at home or as part of your daily exercise, but please feel free to think of some of your own activities.

  1. Downward dog or soaring eagle? 26 minutes of wildlife yoga using our wildlife yoga poses guide.  
  2. A 2.6km nature walk – count 26 wildlife things on your walk too!
  3. Learn 26 new species of bird, mammal, plants or insect. Take a look at our species lists here and go wild!
  4. Attempt to jump like a frog for 26 minutes, or 2.6 minutes, and get the whole family involved in burning off some steam.
  5. 26 minutes of wildlife drawing/painting – you could turn this into a competition with your household or on zoom with friends and family. Pick your wildlife theme, and let your imagination run wild.

It’s simple to do, you can pay in your fundraising directly to our website and 100% comes directly to the Trust.

Please share your photos or videos with us by tagging us in social media posts, and use the hashtag #twopointsixchallenge.
