Nature Trek to Northern Lands and Beyond

George McGavin - A World of Bugs

George McGavin is best known for his BBC series The Incredible Human Hand, Prehistoric Autopsy and Monkey Planet. George is an entomologist, author, academic, television presenter and explorer. Join George at the Idle Valley Nature Reserve, North Road, Retford, DN22 8SG for an evening talk, Q&A and a chance to meet him. During his talk he’ll introduce us to his amazing work on insects throughout the world. He’ll cover their biology, conservation and their importance in the world. After a break he’ll take your questions and you’ll have a chance to meet him at the end of the evening. 7.30-10.00pm, doors open 6.30pm. £16.95-£18.95, refreshments available. Optics Demonstration Day with Opticron
