Swifts

Thursday 1st February

Event Type: Wildlife Talk | Newark

Join the Newark & Sherwood Local Group for a talk covering the probable reasons for the decline in swift numbers and will describe the ups and downs of the swift project in Kinoulton from its beginnings in 2010 to the successful breeding of several pairs during the summer of 2017. 7.30pm in Newark Library. £3 per person. Raffle and NWT sales table.

Bird Ringing in Nottinghamshire

Green Rangers Skylarks

Green Rangers and the Keeping it Wild Youth team join forces and are taking over Skylarks Nature Reserve for the day! Why not come along and get involved - meet new people, learn something new, whilst having fun too. Open to 13- 19 year olds - look out for more sessions at Attenborough Nature Reserve as well. 11am-1pm. Free of charge, but booking essential.

Discover the Heart of the Idle Valley

Join NWT Conservation Officer Mark Speck for a wildlife walk to discover areas of the Idle Valley Nature Reserve you may not have seen before in the Chainbridge area of the reserve. Sightings could include whooper swan, short-eared owl and wintering wildfowl. Meet at Idle Valley Rural Learning Centre at 10am. Booking essential.
