Pick up a form from Reception at our Idle Valley reserve, follow the trail through the woods and collect the clues. Hand in your completed form for a small prize. For children age 7+ and families. Suggested donation of £1 per child welcomed. Open every day. Continues daily up to Friday 23 February.

George McGavin - A World of Bugs

George McGavin is best known for his BBC series The Incredible Human Hand, Prehistoric Autopsy and Monkey Planet. George is an entomologist, author, academic, television presenter and explorer. Join George at the Idle Valley Nature Reserve, North Road, Retford, DN22 8SG for an evening talk, Q&A and a chance to meet him. During his talk he’ll introduce us to his amazing work on insects throughout the world. He’ll cover their biology, conservation and their importance in the world. After a break he’ll take your questions and you’ll have a chance to meet him at the end of the evening. 7.30-10.00pm, doors open 6.30pm. £16.95-£18.95, refreshments available.
