Skylarks Green Rangers
Saturday 6th May
Are you aged 13-18 years old, like being outdoors and keeping active? If so, then join our Green Rangers and help us look after our Skylarks Nature Reserve! Our varied programme includes tree coppicing, bird box making, pond dipping, bushcraft and lots more. 11 am – 1 pm. No charge, but booking essential.
Skylarks Wild Walk
Friday 12th May
Come along to Skylarks Nature Reserve for a walk around the largest wetland in Rushcliffe. 10.30 am – 2 pm. Free of charge, but booking essential.
Wild Tots Skylarks
Thursday 18th May
Join us as we explore Skylarks Nature Reserve with lots of wildlife-themed activities to enjoy. Suitable for 2 to 4 year olds. 10.30am – 12 noon. £6 per child. Moth Trapping at Skylarks
Saturday 20th May
Join the Wildlife Trust and drop in for a night of moth trapping at Skylarks Nature Reserve and find out what flies the skies at night. 8.30 pm onwards. Free of charge.
Green Man Workshop
Thursday 1st June
Start the month as you mean to go on with this Green Man outdoor workshop at Skylarks Nature Reserve. Learn about ‘green man’ imagery in history, archaeology and folklore. Have a go at carving your own using traditional techniques and local wood. Workshop is for adults aged 18+ and requires you to have a good degree of manual dexterity as you will be using sharp tools. 1 – 3 pm, free of charge.
