Wildlife Photography – Reptiles & Amphibians
Sunday 7th August
Idle Valley’s wetlands and ponds are home to many amphibians such as toads, frogs and newts which attract predators such as grass snakes. Come along for a chance to photograph these species. Delivered by professional wildlife photographer Jack Perks, this session will offer a fantastic range of top tips and creative ideas to help you capture the perfect image! 10am – 12 noon, £20 per person. Asteraceae - Getting to Grips with Dandelion Lookalikes
Tuesday 16th August
Through this course you’ll learn about the key features of the Asteraceae (daisy family), develop your knowledge of the key features for identifying dandelion lookalikes, use a range of keys to decide which genus they belong to, and gain confidence in identifying them. The course leaders will assume you have knowledge of botany and botanical terms. Tutor: Margaret Crittenden. 9.30am - 4pm. £45.00 including refreshments and lunch. Booking essential.
