Conservation Volunteer - North Notts Reserves

If you enjoy the outdoors why not have a go at volunteering out on the reserves in the north of the county?

The conservation volunteers do a wide variety of tasks including coppicing, hedge laying, fencing, path construction amongst many others. These are all based on our reserves giving you the opportunity to visit some unique habitats and play a vital role in their maintenance.

You can volunteer on Mondays, Thursdays or Fridays at Idle Valley Nature Reserve for which we meet at the centre. On Wednesday there’s also the opportunity to volunteer at our other reserves in the north of the county for which we meet on the actual reserves. No experience or tools are required as we provide the training and equipment. Only suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy boots along with a packed lunch are required. Days usually run from approximately 10am to 3pm.

For specific reserves on your doorstep to get invovled at check out the Conservation Volunteer Days webpage (http://www.nottinghamshirewildlife.org/volunteer/conservation-volunteer-days)  or contact Chris Bates on (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) for more information and (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) to register as a volunteer.
