Castle Rock Brewery becomes Wildlife Trust’s first city based Champion of Sherwood.

The Wildlife Trust is running a five-year campaign to raise awareness of the need to restore Sherwood Forest and raise funds for conservation work across the forest landscape. The charity has presented Castle Rock Brewery with a special Champions of Sherwood certificate in recognition of the company’s support for its work, and commitment to helping raise awareness of the need to restore Sherwood Forest.

2014 Environmental Awards

This year the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust teamed up with Violia and Nottinghamshire County Council to support the Nottingham Post’s Environmental Awards. By incorporating our Green Guardians Award into the Post’s programme, we were able to provide entrants and winners with more recognition than ever before. The awards night was fantastic and winners inspired us all with their projects and ambitions.

Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust Welcomes Boost for County’s Sherwood Forest Restoration Ambitions

Monday 17th November 2014

Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust has today welcomed the announcement that the Heritage Lottery Fund has approveda bid to develop a Landscape Partnership scheme in Sherwood Forest, which could ultimately see a £3.7m restoration of the ancient woodland and the celebration of Sherwood’s cultural heritage.
