About the event

From the treatment of cancer, as an aid to prevent strokes or to provide help in the treatment of eczema, plants are still the source of many modern medicines. Illustrated talks will look at the history of using plants in medicine and explain how they work. There will also be a display of books and herbal remedies.

We will make forays into the reserve to find and identify wild plants with medicinal properties.
