Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust’s popular series of celebrity lectures returns with a bang. Join Matt Baker as he draws on his wealth of experience both on and off the screen.
BAFTA & RTS award-winning presenter Matt Baker MBE is a much-loved face on British TV, who has become hugely popular with the public, presenting shows such as BBC1’s The One Show, Blue Peter and Countryfile, raising awareness about how the power and beauty of the countryside can be an inspiration and source of joy for us all.
His book - A Year on Our farm: How the Countryside Made Me - is a Sunday Times best seller which, alongside his own productions for C4 - Our Farm in The Dales, follows Matt’s life on his beloved family farm as he celebrates the natural year. His most recent production, Travels in the Country USA, screened on More4 in 2023.
Matt was awarded an MBE in the New Year Honours List 2022 for charitable and voluntary services to fundraising; most notably as a Trustee of BBC Children In Need and his now legendary 12 consecutive years of Rickshaw Challenge rides.
Away from the bright lights of hosting our favourite television programmes, he is often in the company of his family, dogs, array of sheep, Mediterranean miniature donkeys and a whole host of wildlife in the farm’s ancient woodland.
An Evening with Matt Baker includes his talk, Q&A session and a chance to learn more about how you can take action for nature with your hosts, Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust. Upgrade to one of our premium bundles to enjoy priority seating, a copy of Matt’s latest book and gain exclusive access to a meet and greet and book signing with Matt himself.
All profits from this event go towards Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust’s work to protect and campaign for wildlife across the county.
