About the event

Join Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust and Nottingham City Council for a balsam bash at Iremongers Pond. This session is a taster session for businesses and community groups to have a go at removing this invasive plant and learn more about the management of our city nature reserves.

The day is broken down into 3 sessions, where you can sign up to a 2 hour taster of balsam bashing. Himalayan balsam is an invasive non-native species responsible for outcompeting many of our native wildlife on water ways in the county. Join us to learn how to remove this pesky plant, why it's important and how you can get involved in different ways to help out our wildlife and green spaces, whether its through joining a future Wild Work Day or self-led tasks.

This taster day is for local businesses and community groups to have a go at removing this invasive plant.

Please note we can only accommodate a maximum of 4 delegates per business or community group.
