About the event

Join us for an informative guided walk designed for those looking to build on their birdwatching skills and take the next step beyond identifying our most familiar species.

Perfect for anyone with a basic knowledge of common birds, this relaxed walk will introduce you to some of the reserve's less familiar breeding birds and teach you practical techniques for identifying them by their songs and calls.

Led by an experienced guide, we'll explore the reserve at a leisurely pace, stopping regularly to observe and discuss the sounds around us. Along the way, you'll gain confidence in recognising different species, understanding their behaviour and picking up useful tips that you can use wherever you go birdwatching.

ID guides will be provided, so all you need to bring is suitable outdoor clothing, comfortable footwear and your curiosity. Entry level binoculars are provided to those who require them.
