About the event

Weeds are everywhere- the cracks in pavements, growing on walls, in every garden. So, why are they so successful? These plants are overlooked and maligned but they all have a story to tell. Nettles make clothing, dandelions are packed with vitamins and minerals, daisy petals diffuse light to attract different insects. Discover about the very plants we tread on and discard, their medical uses, food potential and folklore. After this talk, you might look where you are walking!

Meeting starts at 7:15pm at the Idle Valley Visitor Centre at Belmoor Lake. Parking available at the main reserve car park. Entry is £3.00 per person which includes refreshments.
