About the event
Former Rufford Colliery closed in 1993 after 8 decades of mining. Since then Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust has worked with successive landowners to gradually restore the site from coal spoil to the Country's largest ever heathland recreation programme totalling over 100 acres. Tim Sexton will take you through some of the incredible and rare wildlife now found on the site and show you how green has become the new black.
