Join us for a journey into how the Saving Wildcats project is breeding and releasing wildcats into the Cairngorms, touching on how to prepare wildcats for the wild, with a deeper insight into the field element: how to track a wildcat; surprises encountered and some of the challenges.

Saving Wildcats is a European partnership project, led by Royal Zoological Society Scotland, dedicated to wildcat conservation and recovery. Lou Hughes is the Field Operations Manager, leading the team that focuses on all activities once the wildcats are released, and has been part of the project since 2021.
