Access
The reserve is on the north and south side of the minor road from Torworth to Lound, off the A638 north of Retford. Car parking is limited. Footpaths around the reserve can be easily accessed. Contact the Trust for more information.

This site has a range of habitats, including open water, damp willow woodland, drier woodland and grassland. There is a wide variety of flowering plants. Good numbers of willow warbler, whitethroat, and blackcap are present in the summer and in winter siskin, water rail and goldcrest may be seen.
