Allison's 5k a day walk
"During lock down I worked my way up to walk 5k a day for a week at Attenborough Nature Reserve! (For those of you who don't know me, I didn't even walk 1k a day).
Having these reserves available in Nottingham is a real help for some people (including myself, especially during the lockdown), as taking a walk through nature is proven to promote good mental health, which is much needed in this difficult time.
Besides being a benefit to the public, these reserves are also vital for Nottingham's Wildlife. Many Nottinghamshire Nature Reserves provide homes for an array of species under threat, such as; Bees, Badgers, Hedgehogs and Woodpeckers just to name a few.
One image to show supporters how big of a difference this challenge has been in my life, here are two screenshots of my average weekly step count, one from before I started the challenge and one from after 😊."

Thank you Alison! It just goes to show what you can personally get out of taking up a challenge for yourself.
Annie's plant sale
"For my school project I had to plant some seeds, look after them and watch them grow.
My family helped and very soon we had lots of baby tomato, watermelon, pumpkin, basil, sweetcorn, rocket and pepper plants! There were way too many for our greenhouse and garden so we had the idea to sell them for a good cause and set up a just giving page - a bit like Captain Tom!
We've all loved going to the Hook and Skylarks Nature Reserves during lockdown, so thought Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust was a great cause to support.
We didn't think we'd make very much money, but have been surprised by how many people have wanted our plants. We've smashed our target of £20 and have so far raised £240! A big thank you to everyone who has helped us."
