Centrum Pile Ltd, based in Balderton, Newark-on-Trent have been a valued business supporter of the Trust since 2018.  This year brings some great milestones to commemorate, marking their fifth year of support for the Trust and Centrum Pile are also celebrating 30 years of manufacturing in the UK this summer.

A key objective stated in Centrum Pile’s Environmental Policy is “we care about the environment in all its forms and recognise that concern for the environment is an integral and fundamental part of our business. We are aware that our activities and operations affect the environment and the world we live in. Our objective is to balance our business aims with our commitment towards protection of the environment now and for the future”.  Such aspirations complement well with the Trust’s Vision “That Nottinghamshire’s people and wildlife are thriving together”, benefitting Centrum Pile’s employees and their families.

We look forward in 2023 to continue our work together for the mutual benefit of both organisations by “creating a movement for nature” as we continue to “make space for nature” in Nottinghamshire.

Since becoming a business supporter Centrum Pile, staff have supported the Trust’s 30 Days Wild initiative in June each year with employees carrying out “random acts of wildness” as they connect with nature at work and at home and held fundraising activities such as bake sales to support the Trust’s work even further.

...a great opportunity to remind our employees of the benefits of connecting with nature.

Darren Senior, Director of Centrum Pile, commented “We are thrilled to be entering our fifth year of partnership with the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust. Working with them is a great opportunity to remind our employees of the benefits of connecting with nature, as well as allowing us as an organisation to support such a beneficial cause dedicated to nature in our local area”.

Emily Patrick, Business Partnerships Lead, at the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust commented “We really value long lasting partnerships like these, this support helps us continue to manage land for wildlife to thrive and connect with local communities with nature. Collaborating with businesses is a fantastic way to engage employees with our nature reserves, events and ways that they can take action within their community, having these connections are proven to boost people’s wellbeing.
