About the event

Sunday 5th May is International Dawn Chorus Day and is the best time of year to hear the cacophony of bird calls as they defend their territories and attract mates. The walk will be guided by expert volunteers and staff who will point out bird calls and find the best spots on the reserve to enjoy the chorus as it crescendos over the morning.

We recommend bringing your own binoculars as hire is not included in your ticket. The walk will last approximately 2 and a half hours, please wear layers and suitable footwear as some paths may be uneven and muddy. The event will end in the centre café with buffet style breakfast cobs.

If you're interested in a more beginner-friendly birdwatching experience, please consider our other Dawn Chorus event on the same morning!
