Broxtowe Borough Council’s Climate Forum 2026 – Shaping Climate Solutions Together Funded by UKSPF.
You are invited to attend Broxtowe Borough Council’s Climate Forum 2026 on Friday 24 April 2026 - please note there are two identical sessions, morning (9:00am to 12:00pm) and afternoon (12:30pm to 3:15pm) - please only book one.
This free-to-attend event is open to residents, community groups, businesses and schools across the Borough. Its aim is to enable and inspire collaborative efforts on carbon reduction and nature restoration at local and regional level in a relaxed and friendly in person environment.
Each session will offer an hour of presentations from:
- East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMMCA), Michael Gallagher Director Climate Resilience and Green Growth/Jacob Vivian, Head of Green Growth, presentation title TBC.
- Broxtowe Borough Council’s Journey to Carbon Neutrality, Cllr Helen Skinner, Portfolio Holder for Environment and Climate Change.
- Nottingham Energy Partnership, Miranda Cumberbatch, CEO/Augusta Moore, Affordable Warmth Programme Manager, 'Making Your Carbon Journey Happen'.
- Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust, Liz Fluety Head of People and Nature/Erin McDaid Head of Communications and Marketing. 'Embracing Natural Solutions and Local Action to Create a Wilder Nottinghamshire in the Face of a Combined Ecological and Climate Crisis'.
Followed by 2 x 30 minute breakout sessions.

Light refreshments will be provided (please let us know if you have any specific dietary requirements).

Registered members of Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust are eligible for free parking, please note that members of other Trusts and blue badge holders are not exempt.
