About the event
This event is part of our wider August Wild Weekend event at Attenborough Nature Reserve.
These relaxed 1.5-hour sessions take place in our dedicated Education Wood - a safe, secure and inspiring outdoor space where you and your child can explore and connect with nature in the heart of the beautiful reserve.
Your ticket includes a snack for each child, plus a hot drink and biscuit for accompanying adults.
There are plenty of opportunities for open-ended play, creativity and discovery, including:
- Nature-inspired crafts
- Seasonal activities
- Bushcraft skills and simple tool use
- Campfire cooking
- Mindfulness and forest-bathing
- Minibeast hunts
- …and lots more!

Weather
We embrace the outdoors in every season and aim to run sessions in all weathers. Sessions will only be cancelled in the event of very high winds.
What to wear
Please ensure both you and your child are dressed appropriately for the weather. As the sessions take place in woodland, we recommend wellies or sturdy walking boots.
