About the event

During this 2.5-hour workshop, our expert facilitator will guide you through the traditional art of willow weaving, helping you create a beautiful willow base that can be reused and redecorated for years to come. You’ll then learn how to choose, arrange and attach natural foliage and decorations to create your own unique design - whether you prefer a simple, minimalist look or a wreath bursting with festive colour and texture.

We’ll provide everything you need, including sustainably sourced willow, locally sourced natural foliage, a selection of festive decorations and all the tools you’ll need, including secateurs and gloves. Our friendly facilitator will be on hand throughout the workshop to offer guidance, inspiration and a helping hand whenever you need it. You’re also very welcome to bring along any of your own materials or decorations to add a personal touch to your wreath.

The workshop takes place in our private Community Room at the rear of the visitor centre, where you can enjoy beautiful views across the water as you create. To make the experience extra festive, you’ll also be treated to a hot seasonal drink of your choice and a delicious festive sweet treat.

Sessions run at 10am to 12:30pm and 2pm to 4:30pm. You'll be able to select your preferred time slot upon booking.
