Fish Identification Course with Jack Perks
Attenborough Nature Reserve,
Barton Lane, Attenborough, Nottinghamshire, NG9 6DYEvent details
About the event
Join Jack Perks for a course on fish identification theory at Attenborough Nature Reserve. The course will begin in the community room with a talk on his new book in the morning, followed by lunch and an afternoon walk and pond dipping session on the reserve. Participants of all abilities are welcome – from complete beginners to those looking to expand their knowledge.
Fondly nicknamed “The Fish Twitcher”, you may have enjoyed seeing some of Jack’s underwater work on TV programmes such as BBC Springwatch, The One Show and Countryfile – along with the recent David Attenborough documentary, Wild Isles. Jack is also author of the Freshwater Fishes of Britain and the Field Guide to Pond & River Wildlife of Britain & Europe, and hosts discussions on nature on his popular podcast, The Bearded Tit.
The course includes refreshments and lunch. All our food is made fresh on the premises using locally sourced ingredients where possible. With 48hrs notice, we can cater for most dietary and allergy needs.
Please email engagement@nottswt.co.uk if you have any questions or to inform us of any specific requirements/requests.
